It's Almost Passover it Must Be Time For The NY Auto Show

NEW YORK, March 12 -- In addition to more than 25 new vehicle introductions, dozen of concepts cars and nearly 1,000 new cars and trucks, the 2002 New York International Automobile Show has many other great attractions to delight the whole family.

Here's a look at some of the other fun things going on at the Show this year:

Come see the most exciting and exotic vehicles in the world. On display will be the latest from Panoz, Lamborghini, and Lotus, plus a show- stopping, 0-to-60-in-4 seconds Saleen!

Look out for the beautifully restored classic cars in the North Pavilion.

Shop at the Galleria Shopping Mall! The 30,000 sq. ft. auto mall carries everything from car care products to wheels, tires and seat-covers. There's even a few products that most have never even seen or heard of before.

New to the Show this year is Maserati, with a surprise introduction. Be sure to check out this Italian beauty!

Don't miss the New York Underground 'tricked-out' car display featuring fully kitted-out 'street-racing' inspired cars in a 'car club' atmosphere in the North Pavilion.

The VIKING SRX-7, developed by Laminar Concepts, has been called "a street rocket gone ballistic in the tradition of the Lotus Super Seven". The neo-retro styling is a blend of British Lotus Super Seven and American open wheel racecar, combined with a 450 HP Mazda turbocharged rotary engine and driveline that makes this one hot vehicle.

Stand at attention while checking-out the United States Marines, U.S. Army, Navy, and Air Force while checking-out their special vehicles including the LAV (light armored vehicle) and Desert Humvee.

Help support our local charities! Stop by the Diabetes Foundation, Inc. and the National Kidney Foundation booths on the North Concourse and purchase a raffle to win fabulous prizes, including brand-new cars. Wouldn't it be great to drive home in a new Porsche?

There are lots of other prizes to be given away just for stopping by one of the many radio station exhibits in the front of Level One. You can enter to win t-shirts, CDs, hats and lots more! With this and nearly 1,000 new cars and trucks on display, from the most 'efficiently' priced Hyundai Accent coupe at $9494 to the 'elegantly' priced $370,485 Rolls-Royce Corniche, the Show has it all!
