Ferrari Unveils 575M Maranello and Maserati Spyder; Audi Rolls Out 450-Hp RS6 Rocket; VW Shows Phaeton

DETROIT, March 6 -- Porsche provides a sneak peek of its all- new Cayenne sports car/sport-ute hybrid, while the folks who brought you Mercedes-Benz also provide a first, quick glimpse of the new Maybach luxury sedan. Those are two of the most eagerly awaited debuts at this year's Geneva Motor Show, and you'll find your passport to this international event in a special report in today's edition of TheCarConnection.com.

Staged at the foot of the Swiss Alps, the annual auto show has something for everybody, from a new-generation of tall wagons to high-performance sports cars. Ferrari rolls out two hot new products, including the 575M Maranello, with its tire-spinning V-12 and F1-type shifter.

If you think of Volkswagen as the ``People's Car,'' you may be in for a shock when you see the new Phaeton. This long-awaited sedan could change the concept of high-end luxury -- as well as your image of VW. Then there's the 450-horsepower Audi RS6. This rolling rocket will be heading to U.S. shores shortly, and TCC will tell you when it heads a showroom near you.

TheCarConnection's special Geneva report brings you the latest on the Ford recovery plan, straight from the mouth of CEO Bill Ford. And find out more about the hip little Fusion, the ``Urban Activity Vehicle'' Ford will be bringing across the Atlantic soon.

TCC's continuing coverage of the Geneva Motor Show will uncover the details on the new Chrysler PT Cruiser Cabrio, the next-generation Opel Vectra, Rover's unexpectedly utilitarian TVC sports car, and the sleek Alfa Romeo Brera concept vehicle.

You'll find all this more on TheCarConnection.com on Wednesday, with even more hot news from the chilly Alps coming your way the rest of the week.

And don't forget to come back on Thursday for TCC's special coverage of the annual Society of Automotive Engineers convention in Detroit.
