Wrong Picture But Close Enough...It Does Have Four Wheels and They Sure Are Hooters

ATLANTA, GA February 18th, 2002...Eastern Foods, Inc. announces the signing of two new drivers to represent their brands during the 2002 USAR Hooters ProCup Series Southern Division. Eastern Foods, a Series Sponsor, will compete in the Southern Division, as well as the Northern Division.

Jason Sarvis of RBR Enterprises will anchor Team Eastern carrying the Naturally Fresh® Foods brands throughout the Southern Division. Jason is a 27-year-old 1999 Myrtle Beach Late Model Stock Champion. Myrtle Beach's favorite son will return to the series piloting the #22 Chevrolet Monte Carlo owned by Rick Benton. Sarvis, who drove the #92 entry in 2001 with Black's Tire as his primary sponsorship, will turn the wheel over to teammate Hal Goodson. Black's Tire will remain has an associate on the #22 Naturally Fresh® Chevrolet Monte Carlo, as well as the #92. Associate Sponsor, Black's Tire Service, Inc. is a multi-location tire dealership, with its corp. office located in Whiteville, NC. In business since 1929, BTS has 17 locations throughout the Carolinas. They are located in Whiteville, Wilmington, Shallotte, Lumberton, and Monroe, NC. In S.C. they are located in Myrtle Beach, North Myrtle Beach, Conway, Marion, Bennettsville, and Florence. Black's Tire consists of retail, commercial, and wholesale divisions. For more info on Black's Tire Service, Inc., access their website at www.blackstire.com.

In 2001, Sarvis finished 2nd in the Miller Lite Rookie of the Year Championship. He won 11 Miller Lite Rookie of the Race awards, and went into the 2001 championship series leading the Rookie of the Year battle while being 7th in points. Due to bad luck in the championship series, he fell to 21st in the final champion points. Sarvis and the RBR team also led over 187 laps, had 5 top-five finishes, and 12 top-ten finishes, and won the Lance Snacks Pole Award at USA International Speedway.

Michael Ritch of Kryptonite Motorsports plans to pour it on with the Jackaroo® brand. Ritch is a 28 year-old 1992 Mid-Atlantic Region NASCAR Winston Cup Racing Series Champion. He is well known to the USAR Series and the Eastern Foods family. During his 1st tour with USAR in 1998, Ritch and Competition Motorsports earned seven victories, ten top-five finishes, 13 top-ten finishes, most laps led with 1,279, and two pole positions. He also finished a career-high eighth in the USAR's points, earning more than $100,000. Keep in mind this was achieved with no primary sponsorship.

Ritch and Competition Motorsports returned to USAR in 1999 carrying the Jackaroo® brand colors. The Jackaroo® team earned three victories, ten top-five finishes, ten top-ten finishes, three pole positions, and led 574 laps. An opportunity to race with a Busch team did not allow Ritch to complete the USAR Series. Thus, Ritch and Competition Motorsports fell from 3rd in points to finish in tenth place.

The High Point, North Carolina native is anxious to begin racing in the 2002 USAR season. He returns to the USAR Series as team owner and pilot of the #28 Jackaroo® Chevrolet Monte Carlo. Ritch knows he still holds the record for most laps led from the 1998 season with 1,279. However, the 3-time USAR Champion Bobby Gill has broken some of his previous records, so Ritch is ready to recapture.

Team Eastern knows each of these drivers are very capable and hopes that one has the opportunity to be crowned the 2002 USAR Champion.
