Technology Research Corporation Introduces Surge Guard Plus Recreational Vehicle -RV- Power Monitor

    CLEARWATER, Fla.--Feb. 7, 2002--Ned Schiff, vice president of U.S. commercial marketing and sales for Technology Research Corporation (TRC), , announced today the introduction of the microprocessor based Surge Guard Plus(TM) RV Power Monitor for the recreational vehicle market.
    The UL Listed Surge Guard Plus provides protection for the RV's electrical system. This includes over/under voltage, over/under frequency, open neutral, and surge protection. Surge Guard Plus includes a two-line backlit LCD display which provides indication of electrical problems, trip conditions and power status.
    "We are excited to be bringing the Surge Guard Plus to the RV market," stated Schiff. "Today's RV's employ advanced electronics including computers, satellite TV's, microwaves, air conditioners and other sophisticated appliances. They are subject to poor power systems at many of the RV parks which creates a growing need for Surge Guard products."
    "We have experienced strong growth in the RV market over the past two years with the Surge Guard product line," added Schiff. "This new product will expand growth in the existing RV market, and open up the RV OEM coach market. There are approximately 1,000,000 coaches on the road which are potential candidates for this product with an additional 45,000 new coaches built each year."
