Lewis Mackenzie Joins Advisory Board of Navigation and Tracking Company

TORONTO--Jan. 14, 2002--Eduardo Guendelman, President and C.E.O. of Paradigm Advanced Technologies, Inc. (OTCBB:PRAV), announced today that Major-General Lewis Mackenzie (Ret'd), one of Canada's best known soldiers, military commentator and author, has joined Paradigm's Advisory Board.
"We are delighted to have the advice and counsel of Major-General MacKenzie. His international military experience provides invaluable insight to the needs of both 'peacekeepers' and 'peacemakers' for effective navigation tools and vehicle tracking systems in both hostile and training environments," Guendelman stated.
Major-General MacKenzie was commander of the 29 Nation UN Peacekeeping Force that opened the Sarajevo airport for the delivery of humanitarian aid during the Bosnian civil war in 1992, and is a former Commanding General of Land Force Central Area. Major-General MacKenzie retired from the Canadian Forces in 1993 and has had an international career as a speaker, commentator, author and military affairs consultant. In October 2001, he was appointed Special Consultant on Security to the Ontario Government.
Major-General MacKenzie holds the Order of Ontario for his charity service as a civilian, as well as numerous Canadian and international military decorations.
"Our Destinator(TM) navigation system and the Secur-IT-Trac(TM) family of tracking systems are generating significant interest from many market segments. Destinator(TM) was voted as best of its kind product in the GPS category and awarded the People's Choice Award by PC Pocket Magazine. The second generation of the Secur-IT-Trac(TM) system was selected in November 2001 by New York City to track the trucks removing material from Ground Zero," Guendelman, noted.
"To ensure effective ongoing development and well designed custom applications of both systems, Paradigm has recruited well recognized and seasoned experts from a broad range of industries and markets to advise the company and its Board of Directors on further product developments and market expansion programs," Guendelman concluded.
Earlier the company announced that Mr. Mike Kedar, founder of Call-Net (Sprint Canada), would join Paradigm's Advisory Board when it was fully formed. The company will announce an additional seven members of the Board over the next few weeks.
