Kenworth Offers 600-Horsepower Engines for T2000 On-Highway Model

KIRKLAND, Wash., Nov. 8, 2001 - Kenworth Truck Company now offers the
Cummins Signature 600, Cummins ISX and Caterpillar C-16 600-horsepower
engines as options for its T2000 on-highway model.

"We know that some drivers want and need the power that comes with a
600-horsepower engine," said Kurt Freitag, Kenworth product marketing
manager. "But, they're also interested in running a lighter, more
aerodynamic model like the T2000 since fuel can be their number one
operating cost. We've made the Cummins Signature 600, Cummins ISX and
Caterpillar C-16 600-horsepower engines available in the T2000 for those
interested customers."
