Save on 2001 Taxes by Donating Your Minnesota Vehicle

ST. PAUL, Minn., Nov. 8 -- The American Lung Association of Minnesota (ALAMN) wants to help remove cars, trucks and vans from our streets that may emit higher levels of pollution. The proceeds will help fight lung disease across Minnesota, which has been on the rise. As the end of 2001 approaches, the Vehicle Donation Program is a convenient way to clean up the air, make a contribution to healthy lung programs and receive a significant tax deduction too.

``Everyone benefits,'' says Jerry Orr, CEO at ALAMN. ``Now people all across Minnesota can dispose of their used vehicles while obtaining a tax deduction. The donations allow us to help over 470,000 Minnesotans suffering from chronic lung disease by supporting educational programs, research and services.'' All vehicles from 1989 on are accepted and many from 1987 and 1988. Classic cars are accepted as well.

ALAMN can arrange for the vehicle to be picked up. For information or to donate your vehicle (including boats) simply call 1-800-577-LUNG or visit our website at http://www.donateyourcar.com/mn
