MyCarPage.com Posts Third Quarter Profit

    SANTA MONICA, Calif.--Oct. 3, 2001--Making money on the Internet seems like a long, lost dream. However, for MyCarPage.com(TM), it is very much a reality. The Santa Monica, Calif.-based Internet company, which specializes in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) products for the automotive industry, announced today that it turned a profit for the third quarter of this year.
    Interval Inc. (dba MyCarPage.com) produces MyCarPage(TM), the Customer Value Matrix(TM) and Prospector(TM), which are designed to bolster long-term relationships between dealers and customers. MyCarPage.com's CRM products, which debuted in June 1999, are now used by hundreds of dealers across the country -- including 10 of the nation's top 50 dealers -- to reach more than 1.7 million consumers.
    "MyCarPage.com has reached this point by following a business plan that calls for incremental growth and targeted success," said MyCarPage.com CEO C. Bryce Benjamin. "Unlike many dot-coms, the MyCarPage.com business has been run like a business with steady growth of revenue and cash flow being key goals.
    "Dealers were initially hesitant to use the Internet, but they've discovered that email marketing is an effective, cost-efficient way to retain and grow their customer base and increase sales. And they've determined that our Customer Relationship Management products make it easy for them to do so."
    As the market has matured, so has MyCarPage. Today, the MyCarPage.com CRM products help dealers organize and manage their customer database and communicate with the consumer through maintenance reminders, sales and service specials and other announcements. MyCarPage.com is working on additional products that complement its current offerings.
