ABI Reschedules Fuel Cell Conference

OYSTER BAY, N.Y.--Sept. 19, 2001--In light of recent events in New York and Washington, Allied Business Intelligence Inc (ABI) has rescheduled "Fuel Cell Dynamics: Reality, Not Hype" to February 6-7, 2002 at the Marriott Marquis in New York.
The conference theme remains the same -- to bring the stationary, portable and automotive fuel cell players together to examine this evolving industry. The leading industry players, such as SiemensWestinghouse, Fuel Cell Energy, H Power, Plug Power and Medis Technologies, and the financial powerhouses Goldman Sachs and Merrill Lynch will still be speaking at the conference.
"The fuel cell industry's importance has increased in the aftermath of this tragic event," says Atakan Ozbek, ABI Vice President of Energy Research. "When we add the instability and security cost of imported oil to the nation's energy demand, the fuel cell technologies strategic magnitude is impossible to miss. This conference will now play a more critical role by bringing all the fuel cell players across the industry together, allowing the commercialization sooner rather than later and lessening the US' reliance on imported oil."
The conference will answer the fundamental questions that surround the industry, including:

-- Why do fuel cells matter more now than before?
-- How will the industry answer the need in the distressed markets?
-- What types of opportunities still exist for VCs and the investment world?
-- How can companies speed up the commercialization?

ABI looks forward to your understanding, your participation and your cooperation as we work to ensure that Fuel Cell Dynamics will be a successful event for everyone. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Nancy Szekretar at 516-624-3113 or conferences@alliedworld.com
