Aura to Demonstrate LibertyLink Wireless Technology At PCIA

LOS ANGELES--Sept. 6, 2001--Aura Communications, Inc., of Wilmington, Mass., will demonstrate several applications using a new wireless communications system at this year's PCIA GlobalXChange to be held September 12-13, at the Los Angeles Convention Center.
Aura(TM) will highlight several applications based on its LibertyLink system-on-chip technology. Utilizing the Sprint network for voice activated dialing, Aura will demonstrate a completely hands-free telematics solution for voice applications. In addition, text dictation will be shown across a wireless link from a headset to a laptop computer executing voice recognition software. Also, a wireless headset that communicates to an integrated Motorola i85s base unit will be available. Aura will also have several other demonstrations, including a universal wireless headset for use with cell phones, cordless phones and FRS radios with VOX capability.
Aura provides system-on-chip (SOC) solutions for wireless voice, data and audio communication. LibertyLink(TM), Aura's second-generation SOC introduced earlier this year, allows secure communications between multiple wireless devices and a single base transceiver at speeds up to 204 kbps.
LibertyLink is based on Aura's magnetic induction technology, a low-power and cost-effective means to deliver full duplex voice and data within the personal-area network. LibertyLink will be on display at Aura's PCIA GlobalXChange Booth 1516, with application demonstrations provided in Aura's suite.
