    YARMOUTH, Maine, Aug. 20 DeLorme today announced a new
version of its popular Street Atlas USA software, America's leading CD-ROM
mapping title.  Street Atlas USA Deluxe is the first in the industry to offer
travelers the ability to add their own routable and searchable roads.  DeLorme
also released the latest version of its easy-to-use Street Atlas USA, the
best-selling street mapping software for personal and business travel needs.

USA Deluxe version, you can include these new roads and name them," said Dave

    Street Atlas USA 9.0 features more than 6.2 million miles of routable
roads and over 4 million points of interest including hotels, restaurants,
ATMs, fuel stops, schools, and more.  The ability to search for exit services
with 24-hour gas stations, ATMs, food, and more -- within a radius of
Interstate exits -- makes it easy to plan the best places to stop.  With
Street Atlas USA, travelers can click anywhere on the map to access "Where am
I?" MapNotes and zip code information.

     The Travel Planner has been improved to include the ability to plan
scheduled stops along the way, such as a stop to stretch every three hours. A
gasoline consumption tool is included and will prompt users to schedule stops
for refueling, based on the size of their gas tank and their average miles per
gallon. They can easily print complete customized travel packages, including
route summaries, directions, and detailed maps for each step of the route.

    The new Street Atlas USA Deluxe version contains all the data and many of
the popular features found in Street Atlas USA 9.0., and is ideal for people
looking for high-performance travel planning software. One advanced feature
found in the Street Atlas USA Deluxe version is the ability for people to add
their own roads.

    If they find their local street is missing, they can add it, name it, and
route on it.  New custom roads instantly become part of the Street Atlas USA
Deluxe database.  The new deluxe version also lets travelers plan and save
multiple routes, perfect for long trips. Both versions of travel planning
software work with GPS receivers, such as the DeLorme's Earthmate. Travelers
can hear turn-by-turn spoken directions as they travel and also receive fast
GPS signal updates every few seconds that show where they are as well as where
they've been. The convenient Back-on-Track feature can also be used to easily
re-route around detours or recover from a wrong turn.
