Magazine to Preview 2002 Harley Liquid-Cooled V-Rod

Circulation Numbers Continue to Rise for Renegade Biker Magazine

BOCA RATON, Fla., Aug. 9 The Horse-Backstreet Choppers'
September issue hits newsstands Monday as the first national biker magazine to
feature the much heralded 2002 Harley Liquid-Cooled V-Rod and goes undercover
for an unprecedented look at Cuba's underground biker scene. Ralph "Hammer"
Janus, editor and publisher, made the announcement.

The Horse takes a look at what it calls Harley's inevitable direction of
liquid-cooled engines in response to Environmental Protection Agency (EPA)
pressure on noise reduction, and introduces a whole new concept of a Harley
Davidson custom, as well as custom motorcycles in general. The V-Rod combines
a host of technical traits including liquid cooling, 60-degree geometry and
dual overhead cams that makes this bike the newest must-have for biking
enthusiasts.

In addition, the magazine takes an underground view of one of the most
fascinating biker scenes yet to be revealed: Cuba's underground biker scene.
In this profile, The Horse rides with the "Harleyestas" who fabricate all of
the parts they need, help fellow bikers out, and keep a strong biking
tradition alive, which reflects the biking scene of the 60's in the U.S. With
politics aside, readers will get a bird's-eye view of a trip across the island
with one of Cuba's legendary bikers.

"We have taken the lead on two big stories that our readers want to know
more about," said Janus. "The new Harley V-Rod and the underground Cuban
biker scene stories really go beyond our traditional readership and we welcome
the additional interest for this issue."
