Chrysler Group Recognized as a Top Company for Hispanic Women To Work for in U.S.

AUBURN HILLS, Mich., July 27 -- DaimlerChrysler's Chrysler Group has been named one of the 50 best companies for working Hispanic women, according to Latina Style magazine's annual corporate poll of best places to work. The annual national listing is the result of extensive research involving over 600 of the most respected corporations in the U.S. The Latina Style "Top 50" is the only poll evaluating corporate America's responsiveness to the needs and aspirations of the modern Hispanic working woman. "Chrysler Group has worked hard to become well respected for employment practices," said Nancy Rae, Senior Vice President - Human Resources. "Our responsibility as an employer is to find ways to embrace all aspects of a diverse workforce and achieve complementary programs contributing to a fulfilling working environment." Companies participating in the poll were evaluated on issues identified by Latina Style's readers as the most important to them within the workplace. Those areas included: number of Latina executives, mentoring programs, Latinas on board of directors, educational opportunities, dependent/child care support, leave for childbirth, alternative work policies, benefits, women's issues and Hispanic relations. Chrysler is dedicated to producing employee initiatives which create both a professional and personal harmony, thereby inspiring employees to work with dedication. The award will be presented at a ceremony in Washington, D.C., this fall.
