QUANTUM and Pinnacle West Partnership Marks Entry into Fuel Cell Stationary Power and Infrastructure

IRVINE, Calif., July 9 QUANTUM Technologies, WorldWide, Inc., today announced the formation of a strategic alliance with Pinnacle West , parent company of Arizona Public Service, electrical service provider. The objective of this alliance is to pursue the development of the infrastructure required to support hydrogen fueled vehicles. QUANTUM will also support Pinnacle's application of stationary fuel cell distributed power generation to its customer base. This alliance will identify and demonstrate technology-based strategies for the transition to a hydrogen infrastructure. Under the terms of the alliance, QUANTUM will supply its ultra-lightweight, advanced composite hydrogen and compressed natural gas storage tanks and control systems to Pinnacle West for application in stationary fuel cell power plants, hydrogen and blended fuel dispensing stations, and compressed gaseous fuel vehicles, including vehicles powered by hydrogen, natural gas, and hydrogen-natural gas blends. Pinnacle West Capital Corporation is a Phoenix-based company with consolidated assets of $7 billion and consolidated revenues of approximately $2 billion. Pinnacle West's major subsidiary is Arizona Public Service Company, and services more than 1.0 million wholesale and retail customers in the western United States.
