WASHINGTON--June 28, 2001--Enova Systems (OTCBB:ENVA), a global leader in mobile and stationary power, participated today in a major advanced energy technology showcase hosted by the U.S. Department of Energy.
The event was attended by President Bush, Secretary of Energy Spencer Abraham, White House Chief-of-Staff Andrew Card, and other key members of the administration.
Among the companies joining Enova Systems at the event were the Ford Motor Company, General Motors, Daimler Chrysler, General Electric, Intel, National Semiconductor, Capstone Turbine, International Fuel Cells, and others.
"We particularly appreciated the opportunity to present our energy technology and power management systems directly to the President," said Carl Dean Perry, Enova Systems President and CEO. "Immediately following the demonstrations, President Bush made a forceful policy speech to assembled employees of the Department of Energy underscoring his commitment to making the new energy technologies a centerpiece of the comprehensive energy strategy he is working with Congress to create. As the President saw first-hand, advanced fuel technologies are not science fiction - they are available and ready to meet the nation's energy demands today."
