Automotive Market Research Council Awards First Scholastic Merit Award

Research Triangle Park, NC - Michael Shortall, a senior at Northwood University in Midland, Mich., received the first Annual Scholastic Merit Award at the Automotive Market Research Council's (AMRC) annual Spring Conference Banquet held in Marco Island , Fla.

This award was established to recognize marketing majors with a high level of academic achievement and a strong record of participation in school and community.

Shortall's achievements range from chairing the Annual Auto Show held at Northwood University to serving as a speaker at the 21st Annual Outstanding Business Leader Award Banquet, hosted by Northwood and Ford Motor Co.

"Michael will have a bright future in the automotive industry", said Mark Kahane, AMRC president.

The AMRC is the only professional organization geared to meeting the information needs of market research practitioners in both the original equipment and after market segments of the worldwide vehicular industry. Since 1965, members have been sharing research data ranging from vehicle forecasts to governmental regulations.
