Michelin Responds to Ford News Conference

GREENVILLE, S.C., May 22 Michelin has been contacted by Ford Motor Company to assist in the replacement of some 13 million tires for their mutual consumers. "The focus here is to make sure this process of replacing tires is as convenient as possible for the consumer and to make sure replacement tires are available as quickly as possible," said Jim Micali, President and Chairman of Michelin North America, Inc. Michelin says it is prepared to do that with its entire portfolio of brands. During the recall last fall, Michelin made available some 2 million tires to consumers, through Ford dealers and its own dealer network.
