ZAP Enters Joint Venture Agreement With Voltage Vehicles

SEBASTOPOL, Calif., May 17 ZAPWORLD.COM and
Voltage Vehicles announced today they have entered into an agreement to form a
joint venture to develop, design, manufacture, and distribute a full line of
new personal electric vehicles as well as ZAP's current line of electric
vehicles (EVs).

Voltage Vehicles of Fulton, California has entered into an agreement to be
acquired by Advanced Wireless Systems, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: AWSSE) of
Scottsdale, Arizona. That agreement is expected to be finalized within the
next ten days.

"Our target market is the independent auto dealer," noted
Steven M. Schneider, National Distributor for Voltage Vehicles. "Our research
indicates that there are auto dealers out there that are hungry for EVs that
the large manufacturers are not supplying. With gas prices projected to hit
all-time highs this year, we feel that now is the time to supply the financing
and vehicles that can provide consumers a true alternative."

Schneider added: "We recently attended the National Independent Auto
Dealer Show, and we were literally mobbed by dealer requests."

A recent study from the Business Communications Co. predicts the market
for light electric transportation will grow to $7 billion worldwide by
2005.

Under the terms of the joint venture, Voltage Vehicles has agreed to
provide up to $10 million in financing in return for exclusive marketing
rights to the automotive dealer network.

"Financing is needed for what we are calling 'Project ZW.' It is our
belief, that the timing has never been better to offer a whole array of EVs to
the general marketplace," said ZAP CEO Gary Starr. "This joint venture could
provide ZAP with the financing and distribution network it needs to accomplish
its long-term goals of being a full-service outlet for EVs."
