ZAPPY Electric Scooters Now Available At BlueLight.com

SEBASTOPOL, Calif.--May 3, 2001--The new ZAPPY JR. electric scooter from electric vehicle pioneer ZAPWORLD.COM is now available at http://www.bluelight.com, the Internet arm of K-Mart.
Visitors to BlueLight.com can find the ZAPPY JR. under the keyword `ZAPPY.' Modeled after the popular ZAPPY electric scooter for adults, ZAPPY JR. is the first electric scooter in the United States designed specifically as a toy following consumer safety guidelines. ZAPWORLD.COM (ZAP) of Sebastopol recommends ZAPPY JR. for children ages six to ten.
BlueLight.com's headquarters are in the center of San Francisco's Fisherman Wharf, where the employees can be seen whizzing down the hallways on scooters. BlueLight.com is also offering ZAP's best-selling electric scooter, the ZAPPY. Tourists to San Francisco also rent ZAPPYs nearby at New World Sports.
"We're excited to be working with BlueLight.com. This is part of our strategy to bring electric transportation to the mainstream marketplace," said ZAP spokesperson Leslie Piper. "We want to make it easier for people to beat rising gas prices this summer. For three cents worth of electricity, you can go up to eight miles on our ZAPPY scooters."
ZAPWORLD.COM is publicly owned with stock trading under the symbol ZAPP on the NASDAQ Small Cap market. For further information, visit ZAP's website at http://www.zapworld.com or call 800/251-4555.
