CNN/Sports Illustrated will introduce two weekly programs beginning today with NASCAR PLUS, it was announced by Bill Galvin, vice president and executive producer of CNN/Sports Illustrated. "NASCAR Plus" will debut at 6:30 p.m. and air again at 8:30 p.m. and 12:30 a.m. "Sports Illustrated - Cover to Cover" will debut May 3 at 6:30 p.m. and replay at 8:30 p.m. and 12:30 a.m. Additional weekly air times are listed below (All times Eastern).

"Sports Illustrated - Cover to Cover" will take a closer look at the pages of the award-winning magazine, offering viewers the story behind a story in each week's issue. The show will deliver behind-the-scenes anecdotes, news, features, photos and up-close interviews with SI writers. The show will air Thursdays at 6:30 p.m., 8:30 p.m. and 12:30 a.m.; Fridays at 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.; Saturdays at 9:00 a.m., 2:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.; and Sundays at noon.

"We are thrilled to offer our viewers these two new shows. Sports Illustrated - Cover to Cover is an opportunity that only Sports Illustrated's network could offer," said Galvin. "Essentially, we'll give each issue of SI a second life on television, with writers, photos, inside information and other items culled from the resources of the magazine."

"NASCAR PLUS" will offer viewers thirty minutes of NASCAR news and features, plus in-depth analysis and reporting from Turner Sports analyst Benny Parsons and reporter Marty Snider. The show is hosted by CNN/SI's Johnny Phelps and airs Mondays at 6:30 p.m., 8:30 p.m. and 12:30 a.m.; and Tuesdays at 1:30 p.m. and 4:30 p.m.

Both shows will offer extensive web components via CNNSI.com, including on-air web polls, viewer e-mails and more. The "Sports Illustrated - Cover to Cover" show page on CNNSI.com will link users to SI Writers' mailbags. "NASCAR Plus" will feature a "Fantasy Forecast" segment and a web poll from Nascar.com that ranks drivers' performances.

CNN/Sports Illustrated, a joint venture of CNN and Sports Illustrated, is a 24-hour sports network, offering complete coverage of the world of sports, with in-depth reporting and live coverage of breaking news and press conferences. CNNSI.com is AOL Time Warner's sports Web site, the home of Sports Illustrated on the Web and the sports site for CNN.com and CNN/Sports Illustrated, the sports news network.
