ZAP Receives $500,000 Contract from Korea

    SEBASTOPOL, Calif.--April 17, 2001--Electric vehicle manufacturer ZAPWORLD.COM has signed a distribution contract in exchange for exclusive distribution rights in Korea. The total contract is worth at least $500,000 for 2001.
    The new electric vehicle distribution company, ZapKorea, Inc, was incorporated exclusively for the sole purpose of distribution throughout Korea of ZAPWORLD.COM (ZAP) electric powered products, including ZAPPY(R) and ZAPPY JR. electric scooters as well as ZAP POWERBIKE(R) electric bicycles.
    Commenting on why he chose ZAP products over competing manufacturers, ZapKorea founder Sung Kil (Steve) Chang said, "We tested all the electric vehicles available and ZAP offers the best quality in the industry. They also have the best name recognition and I look forward to bringing lots of ZAP vehicles to the Korean people."
    ZAP has received several new contracts from overseas buyers since the beginning of the year.
