Earth Week Activity; California Fuel Cell Partnership Takes Road Show To Los Angeles - Will Demonstrate Fuel Cell Vehicles

    --

With Earth Day just around the corner, the California Fuel Cell Partnership (www.cafcp.org) takes its road show to Los Angeles on April 18, 2001 with a media briefing and ride 'n drive featuring environmentally friendly fuel cell-powered electric vehicles. This will be the first time the Partnership's fuel cell vehicles have appeared together in the Southern California area.
The briefing will take place Wednesday, April 18 outside the California Science Center, adjacent to the L.A. Coliseum, beginning at 10:00 a.m. The briefing will feature a presentation about the CaFCP; an overview of fuel cell technology; and displays, including a hydrogen-generating fueling appliance.
The CaFCP is a public-private venture working together to demonstrate fuel cell electric vehicles and explore an alternative fuel infrastructure. When fueled by hydrogen, fuel cell vehicles have zero emissions -- the byproduct of the reaction between hydrogen and oxygen is water and heat.

Note to TV media: betacam B-roll tape of cars and buses, fuel cells, company soundbites, and the CaFCP's West Sacramento headquarters and hydrogen fueling facility will also be available.
