Enhanced Vision Testing Capabilities For Vehicle Divisions Nationwide

ELMSFORD, New York, March 28 A pioneering online vision
testing system that enables drivers to be tested for visual acuity (distance),
visual field (peripheral), color vision and contrast sensitivity (night
vision), is adding a new dimension to highway safety nationwide. These tests
have become more necessary as the driving population ages.

VisionRx Inc. and The State of New Mexico Motor Vehicle Division this week
announced a new, web-based vision testing pilot program featuring tests
powered by VisionRx. This new and powerful vision testing software program
enables DMVs to provide more accurate, efficient and cost effective vision
testing. It expands the current testing parameters and provides randomized
test sequences that reduce the opportunity to cheat. These tests also can be
accessed on any computer for easy constituent access.

According to Charles Shapiro, VisionRx Chief Executive Officer and
President, "The VisionRx system provides a win-win-win solution. The DMV
benefits through increased vision testing accuracy, improved administrative
efficiencies and significant cost savings. Constituents benefit by being able
to take fast, efficient tests -- anywhere, anytime and driver's benefit
through improved public safety."

The New Mexico Motor Vehicles Division is using the visual acuity test in
seven field offices. They will expand to the color, contrast and visual field
tests in the near future. VisionRx provides the tests to New Mexico in both
English and Spanish. New Mexico plans to add audio instructions later this
year.

According to James Laux, VisionRx's Vice President of Marketing, "Most
DMVs have not kept up with vision testing technology. Many employ either
wall-mounted eye charts or old-fashioned light boxes containing eye charts
similar to those used since the mid 1800s. These older methods have fixed
test sequences that can be easily memorized thereby facilitating cheating.
Moreover, the use of these antiquated systems do not permit electronic data
capture and analysis."

VisionRx tests provide DMV's with the ability to streamline the overall
licensure process. Each test's self-directed, intuitive design minimizes the
need for staff supervision. In addition, with its completely randomized test
sequences, the VisionRx system results in improved test accuracy and
reliability and reduces the opportunity to cheat. By centralizing the vision
testing process and strategically placing a few test stations in field
offices, flexibility and throughput are measurably increased.

Jeffrey Stewart, VisionRx's Founder and Chairman, said, "Because every
VisionRx software test is available over the Internet, DMV's now have the
increased latitude, depending on their e-commerce initiatives, to provide the
vision testing component of the licensure process virtually anywhere,
including remote e-DMV booths and at home on a personal computer."
