Easyriders Inc. Announces Award for TAILGATE MagazineAGOURA HILLS, Calif.--March 27, 2001--Easyriders Inc. (AMEX:EZR) today announced that the launch of TAILGATE magazine, through its subsidiary Paisano Publications Inc., has enjoyed initial success among its custom truck market readership.
Recently, TAILGATE received an award from Dr. Samir A. Husini, a.k.a Mr. Magazine, for being among the top 30 most notable launches of the year out of 874 new magazines launched in 2000. Stated Dr. Husini, professor of journalism at the University of Mississippi, and magazine industry consultant, in his book, "Samir Husini's Guide to new Consumer Magazines 2001": "TAILGATE focuses on truck owners and operators, truck features, special events and customizing tips and techniques, all with the general feeling and flair of a men's lifestyle magazine.
"TAILGATE has gone further in its promotion and accessibility by taking out an ad in MAXIM magazine and creating a Web site, www.tailgatemag.com. There is no doubt that this approach is lucrative and has proven successful, though the general market is getting flooded," continued Mr. Magazine.
