Global Security to Unveil Hands-On Course To Reduce Teen
Fatalities
Counterterrorism Professionals Develop Program to Save Lives of Young Drivers
WHEN: Media can select any day between April 2-7
Must RSVP by Wednesday, March 28
8:30 a.m. - 4:30, lunch will be served and schedules will be
accommodated.
WHAT: More teenagers die from automobile accidents than any other
single cause.
In Virginia alone, fatalities in the 16-to-20 age group
increased a staggering 37 percent from 1999, according to that
state's Department of Motor Vehicles. Of that group, the total
for 18-to-20 year olds rose 70 percent, to 107 traffic-related
deaths in 2000, compared with 63 in the previous year.
In response to those unnerving statistics, International
Training Incorporated, a global leader in providing in-depth
tailored training programs for leading domestic and
international security professionals, has developed the
Advanced Driver Education and Crash Avoidance Course.
This comprehensive hands-on program, which includes classroom
and driving exercises, goes beyond basic driver education for
students with an existing driver's license. This course
includes:
-- Crash avoidance techniques
-- Emphasis on refined vehicle control techniques
-- Options to minimize crash impact
-- Seat belt usage and alcohol impact
WHERE: International Training Incorporated -- Route 643 Airport Road
in West Point Virginia. (Please call for specific directions.)
VISUALS: Realistic hand-on driving scenarios including accident
avoidance and emergency situations.
