Defect: On certain school and transit buses equipped with compressed natural gas (CNG) engines, the original pressure relief devices may vent unexpectedly. Gas leakage in the presence of an ignition source could result in a fire.

Remedy: Dealers will replace the pressure relief devices. The manufacturer has reported that owner notification began Oct. 12, 2000. Owners who do not receive the free remedy within a reasonable time should contact Blue Bird at 1-912-825-2021.
