The fastest selling sports car of all time, the Z, returns after a five-year hiatus. Bigger, better and sexier than ever, the Z makes it's highly anticipated unveil here in Los Angeles simultaneous with press only unveil at Detroit Auto Show. Z Trivia: -- By the time production was halted in 1996, Nissan had sold more than 1 million Z sport cars. -- Time capsule 1970, the year Nissan of Japan introduced the 240Z; "Love Story" was the most popular movie, ABC premiered the TV show "The Partridge Family," the Beatles topped the music charts with "Let it Be". -- Celebrity heartthrobs pushed the pedal to the metal competitively racing Z cars. The list includes: Paul Newman Tom Cruise James Brolin Gene Hackman James Garner -- The Z starred in numerous movies such as "Fast Times At Ridgemont High," "Tin Cup"; TV shows like "The Bionic Woman" and "CHiPs," and music videos like U2's "With Or Without You". -- Across the country, there are approximately 62 Z enthusiasts clubs totaling over 6000 members. To celebrate the Z's 25th anniversary, these Z club fanatics organized a relay to zigzag across America -- symbolically tracing a gigantic Z.
