Are you wondering, 'What in the heck is a sidevalve'? Mystery solved: the sidevalve is a small Ford engine that ended up in many machines like boats and trains and even a mechanical elephant. This site is dedicated to all things sidevalve and sidevalve-esque (which means that machinery which uses sidevalve derivatives is also represented at this site). To the uninitiated (that would be me), the FSOC is the club for owners of Anglias, Prefects, Populars and related derivatives, produced between 1932 and 1962.
