The Plymouth Prowler will make the transition from concept car to production vehicle beginning in
January 1997 Chrysler plans to produce the Prowler in limited
numbers with first year volume projected at 3,000 units.

The design of the Prowler is inspired by classic American hot-rods but makes use of the latest automotive
technology borrowed from other Chrysler products. The
two-seater roadster is powered by a 214 horsepower 3.5-liter V6 engine linked to a four-speed
electronically controlled transaxle. The all-aluminum chassis has
push rod suspension and lightweight aluminum body panels.

The Plymouth Prowler will be produced in the same facility as the Dodge Viper RT/10 and Viper GTS
Coupe at Chrysler's Conner Avenue Assembly plant in
Detroit. More than 36,000 people have expressed interest in the Prowler since production plans were
announced by Chrysler in January, 1996.
