We Don't Do Car People
I received the following letter
from a dealer regarding mistreatment of car people. The letter and accompanying
materials expose a most heinous prejudice against people who work in our business.

Listen to this.We are Mercedes, Acura, and Saab and have recently been pursued to do business with Amazon LeasingAmazon Financial of Woodland Hills, Ca. On Monday of this week, we submitted a lease application for a customer on a new Acura for his wife. His credit score was over 750, has long term employment, no bad debt/income ratio and just basically very strong credit. He happens to be a salesperson at a local domestic car dealer in our town but wanted the wife in an Acura as a personal vehicle.
Can you imagine that Amazon turned this down because they "don't do car people"? When my business manager questioned this, he was told by Amazon president, Jim Perrin, that is correct and they would sooner do a "hooker or a drug dealer than a car salesman." I could hardly believe this myself until I saw Perrin's letter to us about his comments.
Words can not express my anger and frustration in not being able to get my hands around this moron's neck. Please, please alert your loyal readers to what type of company this is.

IN 14 YEARS WE HAVE TURNED DOWN HUNDREDS OF CAR PEOPLE AND THIS IS THE FIRST TIME ANYONE HAS BEEN OFFENDED.
WE ARE SERVICING THE TWO LARGEST MERCEDES DEALERS IN THE WORLD AND BUY APPLICATIONS THE FACTORY TURNS DOWN EVERY DAY!
