Grand Opening Free Day: August 16th Celebration

| August 8-9 | Dedication Center Muralist John Gable Interview Opportunities |
| Muralist John Gable's colorful mural now is installed in the Hall of Fame's
Dedication Hall. The 65' mural depicts the 100-plus years of the motor
vehicle industry's global impact on culture and lifestyles. The
Maine-based artist and former GM designer will be in town on August 8-9 for
print, radio and TV interviews; in the interim, interviews by phone can be
arranged. Color photos of the mural and 3/4-inch (video only) B-roll
videotape of the mural and Gable are available. |

| August 8-9 | "Aeropede" Sculpture Artist Klaus Berner Interview Opportunities |
| Klaus Berner is a Detroit area sculptor with a studio/shop in Pontiac,
Michigan. His unique "Aeropede" interactive sculpture, inspired by
Leonardo Da Vinci's 200-year-old vision of personal transportation. Berner
is available for interviews during installation and on August 8-9. Color
photos of sculpture and artist are available. |

| This elegant black tie fundraiser on Saturday evening, August 9, is the
Automotive Hall of Fame's inaugural event. Responses are arriving daily
from senior officers of the worldwide motor vehicle industry -- including
the Big Three, European and Japanese manufacturers, as well as industry
supplier executives, prominent politicians, Hall of Fame Inductees such as
Carroll Shelby, and government, civic and community leaders. A short
program is scheduled for 7:15 p.m, and The Auto Channel will be cybercasting from the event
here from 6:30 - 8pm. The interactive exhibits and noteworthy
dignitaries will offer excellent opportunities for print, radio and TV
interviews, as well as live radio and TV remotes. Contact the Hall of

| August 11 | Media Preview |
| The official media preview of the new Automotive Hall of Fame will be on
Monday, August 11, beginning with a media briefing at 10:30 a.m. Tours
follow at 11:00 a.m., with a reception/luncheon at 12 noon. Hall of Fame
executives and officers, as well as representatives of the companies
responsible for design and construction of the building and exhibits, will
be on hand for print, radio and TV interviews, as well as live radio and TV

| August 12 | Travel & Entertainment Media Preview |
| A special preview for travel and entertainment media on Tuesday, August 12
will begin with tours at 11:30 a.m., followed by a luncheon program at
12:30 p.m. Hall of Fame executives, as well as representatives of
companies responsible for design and construction of the building and
exhibits, will be on hand for print, radio and TV interviews. Live radio
and TV remotes also can be arranged. Call the Hall of Fame's PR office to

| August 16 | Grapnd Public Opening Celebration/Free Day |
| The public is invited to a free "test drive" of the new Automotive Hall of
Fame on Saturday, August 16 from 12 noon to 7:00 p.m. Open ceremonies at
11:15 a.m. will feature music from renowned Henry Ford Band, flags and
costumed children representing the top 15 countries in motor vehicle
production, an elaborate balloon launch, an array of dignitaries and fun
for the entire family. Hall of Fame executives and officers, as well as
representatives of companies responsible for the design and construction of
the building and exhibits, will be on hand for print, radio and TV
interviews. Live radio and TV remotes also can be arranged. |
