Automotive Hall of Fame Gives
Detroit Unique Events Venue

DEARBORN, MI, July 7, 1997 -- When the new Automotive Hall of Fame opens August 16, metropolitan Detroit companies, organizations and individuals will gain a unique venue for private parties and special events.
The entire Hall of Fame, now in the final stages of construction adjacent to Henry Ford Museum & Greenfield Village, is available anytime during the year for evening functions for groups of several hundred people or daytime meetings for up to 40. From November to Memorial Day, the facility is available for groups on Mondays for both daytime and evening events.
The Hall of Fame's dramatic interior architecture provides an event space different from any in the Detroit area. The 65-seat Driving Spirit Theater will accommodate all types of audio-visual presentations as well as lectures. It opens onto the spacious Soichiro Honda Atrium that can seat 150 under a soaring glass pyramid roof. The Walter Flanders Library and Conference Room offers an elegant and flexible venue for daytime or evening meetings of up to 40 people and is fully equipped with audio-visual services.
The Hall of Fame has selected Kosch Foodservice of Rochester, Michigan, as its exclusive caterer. Customized menus and services such as valet parking, ice sculptures, custom decorations and music, as well as tours and shows by Hall of Fame staff are readily available.
Information and a free event planning kit is available from the Hall of Fame by calling (313) 240-4000.
The new Automotive Hall of Fame is designed and built to be a visitor attraction and educational resource. It celebrates accomplished people of the worldwide motor vehicle industry for the purpose of inspiring others, especially young people, to higher levels of achievement in their own work and lives. It is a unique "people place" of innovation and inspiration where interactive experiences and one-on-one demonstrations are entertaining and enlightening.
