Isuzu Motors America, Inc., adds two all-new, rugged pickup trucks, the i-280 and i-350, to its lineup. They continue the Isuzu tradition of offering durable body-on-frame trucks that represent tremendous value to consumers.
The i-280 Extended Cab 4x2 features: a 2.8-liter inline four-cylinder engine with 175 horsepower and 185 ft.-lbs. of torque; electronic throttle control; electronically-controlled variable exhaust valve timing; heavy-duty suspension; 5,000-pound GVWR; P225/75T15 tires; 15x6.5-inch aluminum wheels; 3.42 rear axle ratio; power steering; four-wheel anti-lock braking system; stainless-steel exhaust; and a choice of five-speed manual or four-speed Hydra-Matic automatic transmission.
Also a brand-new model, the i-350 Crew Cab 4x4 features: a 3.5-liter inline five-cylinder engine with 220 horsepower and 225 ft.-lbs. of torque; electronic throttle control; push-button, shift-on-the-fly four-wheel-drive; full-opening, front-hinged rear doors; automatic locking rear differential; high-stance, off-road-tuned suspension; P265/75T15 tires; four-wheel anti-lock braking system; AM/FM stereo with CD/MP3 player and six speakers; and full power accessories. The optional Limited Package offers leather-appointed interior trim; six-disc CD changer; eight-way heated power driver’s seat; six-way heated power passenger’s seat; auto-dimming rearview mirror with map lamps, compass and outside temperature indicator; and a sliding rear window.
