NASCAR-WCUP: Newt’s Notes: “Martinsville Has Been Pretty Good to Us
The battery of the Jasper Motorsports team, this week, has combined to set the track qualifying record (Ted Musgrave, 1994), a second place finish in the spring race (Musgrave) and a pole in the spring of 1997 (Moore as the crew chief for Kenny Wallace.) "We have qualified real well, on the pole and also a top ten. The race track has been good to me." Said Moore. "We are taking a pretty good car there and Ted finished second this year so we have a lot to look forward to. We will put last week behind us and look to build on this week." Note: Ted Musgrave is filling in for the injured Robert Pressley. Robert broke his right shoulder during a violent accident at Richmond International Raceway on Sept.12. He is on the injured reserve list and will be evaluated on a week to week basis.
