![]() “We are very excited about next year,” Bawel began. “We have been very pleased with Robert’s performance in the short time he has been with us. His ability to communicate with the team has enabled us to step up our performance in a very short period of time. He’s aggressive, he’s smart, he’s both a qualifier and a racer. He has fit in with this team perfectly and we’re very glad that he is going to drive the Jasper Engines & Transmissions #77 Ford next year.” “I think its just great,” Pressley said. “Everything is coming together. The Busch ride is all set, and now this deal with Jasper. It’s a good time to be Robert Pressley. This team has been so good to work with. Everyone has made such an effort to help make this team a success. I can’t wait for next year to get started.” Since taking over the driving duties of the #77 Jasper Engines/Federal-Mogul Ford in mid-September at Loudon, New Hampshire, Robert Pressley has made it into the field through first round qualifying the last six races in-a-row and continues to rack up impressive finishes, including a 13th place-finish in the AC DELCO 400 at the North Carolina Motor Speedway. Bawel’s announcement regarding Robert Pressley is exciting news for Jasper Engines & Transmissions, the nation’s leading remanufacturer of gas and diesel engines, transmissions, differentials and rear axle assemblies. Winston Cup racing provides excellent marketing and research and development opportunities for the remanufacturer. The company’s other products include marine engines and stern drives, performance engines and transmissions and alternate fuel engines. Jasper Engines & Transmissions is headquartered in Jasper, Indiana, where the transmissions and differentials for Jasper Motorsports’ Winston Cup campaign are built. The engines for the #77 car are built at the Jasper Performance Products facility in Mooresville, North Carolina.
