ARCA Star, Tim Steele, Injured


Tim Steele
HAMPTON, GA: Three-time ARCA champion, Tim Steele, was injured while testing a Winston Cup ride at the Atlanta Motor Speedway on Wednesday. Steele sprained his left ankle in a very hard crash in Turn 4.

Steele was testing a Ford Thunderbird owned by Bud Moore Engineering. The popular ARCA driver is planning on running in the upcoming Reese's 400 ARCA race and the NAPA 500 NASCAR race the weekend of November 15-16.

Steele said he was unsure of what caused the crash. He stated he was sore, but will be fine. He was transported via ambulance to a hospital. He had a CAT scan and then was released. Steele is from Coopersville, MI.
