IRL Qualifying To Be Live On Speedvision In '98INDIANAPOLIS - The 1998 Indy Racing League broadcast schedule will include live qualifying on SpeedVision for all League races except the Indianapolis 500 during the 1998 season. SpeedVision has televised live qualifying of IRL races for the past two seasons. "We're pleased to continue our association with the Indy Racing League and to bring our millions of viewers an insider's look at the entire IRL season," said Roger Werner, president and CEO of SpeedVision. SpeedVision joins ABC, CBS, ESPN and TNN in the live broadcast lineup that will include all eleven IRL races during the 1998 season. The 1998 Indy Racing League season opens on January 22 - 24 at Walt Disney World Speedway in Orlando, Florida. IRL qualifying will be broadcast live SpeedVision beginning at noon (EST) on Friday, January 23, with host Gary Lee. Derek Daly and Calvin Fish will join Lee in providing live qualifying commentary. A pre-season holiday ticket special is available now (through December 20) for the IRL race at Walt Disney World.
