This Months Featured Driver: This is Buddy Lazier. He won the 1996 Indianapolis 500 in his beautiful...purple.... Delta Faucet racing machine. He finally got the SATISFACTION he was looking for and deserved. This alone is a life long dream for any racing driver. Buddy withstood the grueling 500 mile journey with great pain. Just a couple of months prior to the 500, he broke his back in a practice accident. Buddy's crew guided him through a very smart race, and in the end, He had the strength (both in his body and car) to pull away to the checkered flag. All 500's have special stories associated with them. Buddy's triumph over injury was a true example of determination.. A trait that true heros must possess. Back to this month's featured IRL driver.
