| Scott Brayton died in May of 1996 doing what he always wanted to do...... driving fast. He was a friendly, fun, popular driver. I wish we could have kept him a little longer. He was already in "heaven" even before he left us. He had put his car on the pole for the upcoming Indianapolis 500. He did it with humor and drama. I was in the pits... watching his excitement... his desire... That desire (and a compasionate car owner) allowed him to achieve his goal on that day. To sit on the pole for the Indianapolis 500. That is the way I will remember Scott... humorous, kind, and dedicated. You had speed on earth Scott... and now it's "Gods speed".
