Buick SUVs at the 2004 LA Auto Show

Buick Rainier
Named after Washington’s famed mountain, the Buick Rainier luxury SUV comes equipped with a standard 4.2-liter, 275 horsepower 6-cylinder engine. An all-aluminum, 5.3-liter, 290 horsepower V-8 is optional, and both deliver their power through a 4-speed automatic transmission. Body-on-frame construction is standard, and both 2- and 4-wheel drive models are available.

Buick Rendevous Ultra
Buick celebrates 100 years of building cars this year, and adds the new Rendezvous Ultra to a line that already includes the CX and CXL versions. The Ultra is distinguished by its monochromatic exterior appearance, and the 3.6-liter, 245 horsepower V-6 that underwent testing at Germany’s famed Nürburgring racetrack.
Buick Terraza (World Debut)
Making its World Debut at the Los Angeles Auto Show, Buick’s 7-passenger Terraza crossover sport van is the third entry in its growing portfolio of trucks. Available in CX and CXL versions, Terraza is powered by a 3.5-liter, 200 horsepower V-6 and offers GM’s Versatrak all-wheel drive system as an option.
