Nissan Names New Head of Canadian Operations

    TORONTO, March 20 Nissan Canada announced today that
Kiyoharu "Kiyo" Owada, president of Nissan Canada, Inc. will be reassigned to
a new position in Japan as of April 1, 2001.  Mr. Mamoru Yoshida will become
head of operations in Canada at that time.
    Since joining Nissan Canada in 1994, Mr. Owada has played a key role in
helping the company achieve record sales in the Vehicle and Parts Divisions
while significantly improving the profitability.  Previously, Mr. Owada spent
several years managing Nissan's European operations in Scandinavia, Belgium
and Austria.
    Mr. Yoshida comes to Canada from his current position as manager of
Nissan's overseas sales marketing department.  Mr. Yoshida also currently
serves as the pilot for the Cross Functional Team (CFT) dedicated to business
development for Nissan.  He will oversee all operations in Canada and become a
member of Nissan's North American Management Committee.
    Nissan announced today a number of senior management changes worldwide
designed to further strengthen the continued strong and fast start of the
Nissan Revival Plan, which was announced on October 18, 1999.
