Land Rover Creates 30-Day No-Risk Vehicle Buying Plan

Money-Back Guarantee on Discovery Series II Models Challenges
SUV Shoppers to 'Come See What A Land Rover Is Made Of'

LANHAM, Md., March 6 Buying one of the world's finest
four-wheel-drive vehicles has just been made easier. The newly created "30-
Day Money-Back Discovery Adventure" is an open invitation to accept a no-risk,
30-day test-drive of a new 2001 Land Rover Discovery Series II to experience
firsthand the capability and performance of the famous British 4x4. If a
customer is not totally satisfied with the Discovery Series II after 30 days,
the vehicle can be returned for a full refund.

"With over 50 sport-utility vehicles now in the marketplace, consumers are
seeking differentiation, " said Howard Mosher, president and CEO, Land Rover
North America, Inc. "We know our product is highly capable, but we wanted to
add something else -- an ironclad, money-back guarantee for the 4x4 buyer.
This guarantee, coupled to lease rates as low as $399 per month and financing
rates of 4.9 percent APR, puts Discovery on many more shopping lists."

All participating Land Rover retailers will offer the "30-Day Money-Back
Discovery Adventure" through May 31, 2001. The new guarantee is added to an
existing Land Rover lease program that makes Discovery Series II SD available
at $399 per month for 36 months with a $1,995 down payment. Financing as low
as 4.9 percent is also available for qualified buyers. New 2001 Land Rover
Discovery Series II models, from the entry-level SD model to the fully-
equipped, seven-passenger SE7 model, are eligible for the 30-day or 1,500-mile
test drive, whichever comes first, and are covered by Land Rover's standard 4-
year/50,000-mile limited warranty.

With a base MSRP of $33,995, including destination charge, Discovery
Series II is sold exclusively through Land Rover North America's network of
129 U.S.-based retail outlets, 86 of which are critically-acclaimed Land Rover
Centres.

The family-friendly, four-door Discovery Series II features a steel and
aluminum body, a 4.0-liter V8 engine and permanent four-wheel drive with four-
wheel Electronic Traction Control (4ETC). Discovery Series II is a safety
leader that includes a standard four-channel, all-terrain Anti-lock Braking
System (ABS); Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD); three-point safety belts
and head restraints for all passengers. Discovery Series II is also the only
sport-utility vehicle available with ACE, Land Rover's patented Active
Cornering Enhancement system. The optional system reduces body lean during
cornering and makes Discovery Series II feel more car-like on the road. The
reduced vehicle body movement also increases passenger comfort.

Inside, the light and airy cabin offers stadium seating for up to seven
passengers, Alpine windows and optional remote audio controls with headphone
jacks for rear-seat passengers.

"With Land Rover, the satisfactory ownership experience continues long
after the first 30 days," said Howard Mosher. Land Rover owners are invited
to attend exclusive off-road driving activities -- called WHEELS events --
staged by Land Rover Centres throughout the year. Land Rover owners also
receive complimentary copies of the Land Rover Journal, a Land Rover-exclusive
publication, as well as invitations to participate in off-road driving
instruction at Land Rover's year-round, U.S.-based driving schools located at
the Equinox resort in Vermont and The Greenbrier resort in West Virginia.
Furthermore, Land Rover owners are invited to take part in exotic off-road
driving vacations called Land Rover Adventures that are offered in places such
as Africa and Australia.
