Porsche Cars North America Reports September 2004 Sales

Demand Strong for Cayenne; Hurricane Dampens Deliveries in Southeast

ATLANTA, Oct. 1, 2004; Porsche Cars North America, Inc. (PCNA), importer and distributor of Porsche sports cars and Cayenne SUVs in the United States and Canada, today announced U.S. retail sales totaled 2,355 vehicles in Sept., 29 cars short of the figure for the same month last year. Still, year-to-date sales of 23,332 vehicles is an increase of 14 percent. Business was interrupted in Florida and Southeastern states, where customers were expected to take delivery of many new Porsches, particularly 911s. Devastation and power outages kept dealer showrooms closed.

In addition, dealers sold 364 Porsche Approved Certified Pre-Owned vehicles, compared to 229 last year.
