While Bill Baird continues to dominate the ARCA Bondo/Mar-Hyde Series
championship chase, there are still several other ARCA battles up for
grabs, including...............

The Prestone Advanced Formula Award: '99 ARCA STP-Prestone Rookie of the
Year Ron Cox leads Norm Benning by a single point. Cox, aboard his
Northgate RV & Parts-Brown's Tax Service Chevrolet, has advanced more
positions than any other driver this season.

The Thermo-Tec Durable Driver Award: 4th in ARCA B/M-H points Joe Cooksey,
driver of the Maurtco Powder Coating Chevrolet, leads 3rd in ARCA B/M-H
points Bobby Gerhart by just 13 markers. Cooksey, in this registered
category, has completed more laps in '99 than any other driver.

The prestigious Bill France Triple Crown Award (combined points
accumulated at 3 different & diverse venues: Salem, Springfield and
Talladega) Bill Baird, who also leads the way in laps led in '99 (830 in
15 races), leads Mark Gibson by just 20 points going into the Winn Dixie
300 at Talladega. 1. Bill Baird 395, 2. Mark Gibson 375, 3. Jeff Finley
350, 4. Eric Smith 340, 5. Joe Cooksey 335.

Harvick; busy weekend ahead: NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series driver Kevin
Harvick has added his name to the list of entries for the "Re-Refined Oil
RACE of CHAMPIONS Invitational". Harvick, who recently signed with Richard
Childress Racing to drive the AC Delco Chevrolet in the 2000 BGN series,
will have a busy weekend in October. On Friday, October 15th, Harvick will
compete at Texas Motor Speedway in the CTS event, then fly to Talladega,
AL for the ARCA Bondo/Mar-Hyde Series race there on Saturday, then arrive
in Bakersfield, CA at noon Sunday for the "Re-Refined Oil RACE of
CHAMPIONS Invitational".
