IRL, INDY500: HAAS CNC Joins McCormack Motorsports for 1999 Indy 500

INDIANAPOLIS, IN.,-- Dennis McCormack, owner of the #30 McCormack Motorsports Pep Boys Indy Racing League entry, announced today that HAAS CNC, the world leader of computer numerical controlled (CNC) equipment joined the Avon, Ind. based team for the 1999 Indianapolis 500. Jimmy Kite is the driver of Alfa-Laval/ Team Losi/ Fast Rod McCormack HAAS CNC car. Also announced today is the addition of NationsRent of Indianapolis as an associate sponsor for the team.

"Im proud to have the world leader of CNC equipment join McCormack Motorsports as our primary sponsor," said the Indy racing team owner during todays announcement. "The addition of HAAS further enhances our already strong program."

"It is great having HAAS CNC and NationsRent join the team," second year "500" driver Kite said. "Their addition will make a strong car even stronger. I am really looking forward to carry them to the front in the "500."

HAAS CNC equipment is utilized to operate precision machining. HAAS machines can cut on multiple axis to machine parts that would be nearly impossible to machine by hand. The technology utilized by HAAS allows multiple complex pieces to be manufactured within extremely tight tolerances.

NationsRent of Indianapolis is a high-end equipment rental company.

The #30 Alfa-Laval/ Team Losi/ Fast Rod McCormack HAAS CNC G Force Oldsmobile will start on the outside of row 10 in the 28th starting position with a qualify time speed of 220.097 mph.
