IRL, Indy 500: Team Cheever Practice Notes from Indy

18 May 1999

Inclement weather shortened the third practice day at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Team Cheever rookie Wim Eyckmans was able to get in a short practice session and ran a time of 41.948 seconds at a speed of 214.551 mph. Eddie Cheever was not able to get a run in before the rains started.

On a personal note, Team Manager Richard Caron and his wife, Brenda, are on the way to the local hospital in anticipation of delivering their third daughter, Mackenzie. Details to follow.....
