Segments 1-2: The MotorCities National Heritage Area, an entity within the National Park Service, promotes the preservation of our automotive history and supports education and tourism. Executive director Shawn Pomaville gives us an update on MotorCities’ projects events and mission.

Segments 3-4: Michigan Senator Steve Bieda of Macomb County chairs the Michigan Legislative Auto Caucus. The senator, coincidentally is the chairman of the MotorCities Leadership Council and a car enthusiast. Senator Bieda talks about the founding of the caucus, the breadth of their concerns and his enthusiasm for cars.

Segments 5-6: The Historic Vehicle Association in Washington DC recognizes special vehicles for inclusion in the Library of Congress much like the National Registry of Historic Places recognizes buildings. HVA president Mark Gessler was on the show when the HVA was founded in 2014. Mark is back to talk about the HVA and the most recent automotive inductee, a 1933 Graham Eight Blue Streak that exemplifies the move to aerodynamic design.
