*Rain Cancels Tony Hulman Classic For A Second Time Terre Haute Action
Track Now Prepares For Huge Late Model Show Friday June 30*


                (Terre Haute, IN) Officials from USAC Racing and Track
Enterprises, the promotion company of the Terre Haute Action Track, have
announced that the Tony Hulman Classic, scheduled for Friday, June 23, has
been canceled for a second time this season due to heavy waves of rain in
Western Indiana.  The Scott's Custom Colors Modifieds were also on schedule.


                Unfortunately, the Action Track has not had a lot of
weather luck this year, raining out three times and racing just once.  Only
the season opening Sumar Classic has been completed this year.  Officials
are hoping the luck changes quickly with two huge events coming up in the
next few weeks.


                Fortunately, race fans don't have to wait very long before
the next two shows.  The first is next Friday, June 30 as the World of
Outlaw Late Models visit the Action Track for the first time ever to take
on the Summer National Hell Tour Late Model head-to-head.  The best of the
best from each series will be trying to tackle the fast 1/2-mile as they
take on some of the best drivers in the country.  The Scott's Custom Colors
UMP Modifieds will also be on hand racing in the Summit National Modified
event.  Extra prize money and Summit National points are on the line.


                For open wheel fans, the USAC AMSOIL National Sprint cars
will be back at the Action Track on Wednesday, July 12 for the Don Smith
Classic.  The event, run during Indiana Sprint Week, typically draws the
biggest crowd of the year.  This season, the Scott's Custom Colors UMP
Modifieds are also on tap for the show.


                Pit gates will open on Friday, June 30 for the World of
Outlaws vs. Summer Nationals showdown at 2:00, grandstands open at 4:00,
hotlaps begin at 6:00, qualifying at 6:30, and racing will take the green
at 7:00.  Grandstand admission is $30, infield admission $15, and kids 11
and under are free.
