The company is based in Newbridge, near Edinburgh, and supplies hospitals, schools and universities, as well as cafés and fine dining restaurants, throughout Scotland. Mark Murphy & Partner recently added three new Sprinters to its 14-strong fleet of delivery vehicles. They arrived, like the 28 other Mercedes-Benz vans it has purchased over the last decade, via the Broxburn branch of Dealer Western Commercial. The operator's first low-emission Euro 6 vans are 314 CDI models with advanced and fuel-efficient 143 hp engines. Their Long bodies were insulated and lined for temperature-controlled operation, and fitted with GAH refrigeration units, by CoolKit, of Burnley. "Our experience over the last 10 years has proved that when it comes to long-term reliability and performance, nothing comes close to a Mercedes-Benz," said Managing Director Mark Murphy. "We have tried some other vans but they just don't measure up - they might be ok for the first year but after that things quickly start to go wrong. Sprinters, by comparison, just keep going. The drivers like them too, while the fact that they're widely acknowledged to be the safest vans on the road is another significant plus point." Mark Murphy & Partner delivers a huge range of fresh produce, and supplies some of Scotland's most prestigious events, including the Braemar Gathering, Edinburgh Festival and Royal Highland Show. Its telephone ordering desk is staffed around the clock - consignments can be ordered for next-day delivery six days a week, while for customers in and around Edinburgh there is also a Sunday service. "We work the vans hard," added Transport Manager Grant Campbell. "They leave base very early in the morning and deliver to some pretty remote areas, where many of the roads are steep, narrow and winding. "Our customers demand a reliable delivery service, so we just can't afford to have vehicles breaking down. The Sprinters have proved themselves to be well up to the job, which is why we keep coming back for more." In the unlikely event of a problem, Mark Murphy & Partner knows that, like all vans bearing the legendary three-pointed star, its Sprinters are backed by three-year, unlimited mileage warranties. As they are maintained within the official Mercedes-Benz Dealer Network, they also come with MobiloVan cover, which includes free emergency roadside assistance. www.markmurphyltd.co.uk [cid:image003.jpg@01D2D970.505D6BF0] [cid:image004.jpg@01D2D970.505D6BF0] Fruitful partnership: Mark Murphy with one of his latest Mercedes-Benz Sprinters ends For more information, or to request bigger/higher-res image files, please contact: John Ripley or Steve Warren Impact Communications, 01926 842126 John: 07771 484595, john@impactcom.co.uk<mailto:john@impactcom.co.uk> Steve: 07770 470251, steve@impactcom.co.uk<mailto:steve@impactcom.co.uk> [cid:image005.jpg@01D2D970.505D6BF0]
