Exceptional service guaranteed as Orwell launches new Mercedes-Benz Vans showroom

Mercedes-Benz Dealer Orwell Truck & Van has confirmed its position as one of the UK's top van retailers by opening a stunning new sales centre in Ipswich.

The £1-million development offers 'best-in-class' product presentation. Orwell Truck & Van Managing Director Neil Jacob declared: "The very substantial investment we have made in this outstanding facility underlines our determination to provide light commercial vehicle operators with the very finest customer service. It also demonstrates our confidence in, and commitment to, the future of the Mercedes-Benz Vans brand."

The new centre represents the latest in a series of high-profile investments made by parent company Imperial Holdings, since it acquired the manufacturer's franchised partner for East Anglia in 2013.

Prominently located at Martlesham Heath, close to the main A12, it features an airy and welcoming showroom with space for three vans, as well as smart, comfortable offices on the ground and mezzanine floors.

The opening means that, as was already the case for their colleagues based in Newmarket and Norwich, Orwell Truck & Van's Ipswich team have now secured coveted Mercedes-Benz Van ProCenter accreditation. This demanding, Europe-wide standard of excellence reflects the quality of the people the Dealer employs and the procedures it operates as they relate to light commercial vehicles.

Van Sales Director James Russell added: "Our new showroom is ideally positioned and the perfect platform from which to take our retail van sales business to the next level. We now look forward to introducing many new customers to models from our award-winning Citan, Vito and Sprinter ranges, as well as the exciting X-Class, the first Mercedes-Benz pickup, which arrives early in 2018."

The Mercedes-Benz Van ProCenter 'seal of approval' assures customers of industry-leading levels of service, not only when ordering and taking delivery of their new vehicles, but also once they're on the road.

Accredited Dealers keep extended opening hours and meet strict - and regularly audited - requirements on everything from sales staff numbers and their training, to advice on bodybuilding options and the availability of demonstration vehicles for test drives at short notice.

In addition to new models, they retail a broad range of top-quality used vans, providing fair and transparent trade-in deals. On after sales, meanwhile, they employ specially trained service advisors and technicians, ensuring customer mobility by providing replacement vehicles in addition to collection and delivery services.

Mercedes-Benz Vans UK has made a record-breaking start to 2017, posting an 18% increase in vehicle registrations (8,813 vans) during the first quarter. In 2016 the brand recorded its seventh consecutive year of growth and Orwell Truck & Van certainly played its part in this success - the Dealer, which employs 200 people across its network of branches in Ipswich, Colchester, Newmarket and Norwich, sold 1,252 vans last year, a 16% increase on the previous 12 months.
